Smyths toys have a range of swings and slides, both from Soulet, a big french manufactuer, and own brand. They also stock a selection of accessories that will fit not only their products but also many other manufacturers.
They also feature their own Smyths Toys climbing frame called the Mourne wooden swingset (shown below). It’s a nice set, with large dimension legs and a fully wooden roof so it should last well. We’re a littler perplexed by the layout and why they have the 2-child glide-rider glider on a separate swing beam but if you’ve got the space i’m sure it won’t be an issue. It’s not stated in the description, but the deck looks to be 1.2m (4ft) high and have a 2.4m slide.
The description states that it’s made from the “highest quality Canadian Fir” wood, but we’re not sure if this is a typo. It seems to us that the set is manufactured in China and made from Cunninghamia lancelota, or China Cedar/Fir, however this wood still posses great qualities for outdoor products and is also used by both Plum, Selwood and Backyard Adventures in their wooden climbing frames.
